You must receive a prescription from a PEMC doctor before obtaining herbal medicine.

What can I expect for my first visit?
A relaxing experience. Your visit begins with a friendly consultation with a trained professional and ends with you feeling great.
How do consultations work?
We conduct brief evaluations of your current and past health situations. They include open discussions, paperwork and possibly some traditional Chinese diagnostic methods that use your pulse and tongue.
Do you take insurance?
Yes! We accept most major health insurance providers. Please give us a call at 516-520-1330 to confirm that we accept yours.
Acupuncture FAQs
Does it hurt?
No! We understand the whole needle thing is nerve-wracking, but the needles we use are so tiny and thin that most times, you don’t even feel them. You might even fall asleep during your session—it is deeply relaxing!
What does acupuncture help/treat?
A lot. Chronic pain conditions, muscle/joint aches, depression, anxiety, addiction, insomnia, respiratory conditions, infertility and so much more. Chances are, if something’s bothering you, acupuncture can help. Learn more here.
What can I expect?
It depends on what you want to get from acupuncture. Some conditions may be improved in as little as one session, others take more. Either way, you will leave the session feeling deeply relaxed and in-tune with your body.

Herbal Medicine FAQs
What is Chinese herbal medicine?
Traditional Chinese herbal medicine centuries-old practice that uses herbs to treat and prevent a wide range of conditions.
What else do you sell?
In addition to herbal medicine, we sell Image Skincare, Young Living Essential Oils, Rejuvapen, jewelry, crystals and much more. It’s like a gift shop!
What can herbal medicine treat?
Colds, flus, allergies, skin conditions, chronic conditions, depression, anxiety and so much more.
Do you carry medical marijuana?
No. To clarify, we don’t mean marijuana when we say “herbal.”
How is herbal medicine ingested?
At PEMC, we offer capsule form only. Herbs don’t smell or taste particularly good, and we’ve found that they’re easier to take in capsule form.
Can I walk in or do I need to make an appointment
Please make an appointment if you are interested in obtaining an herbal medicine prescription. If you would like to purchase other (non-herbal medicine) products, feel free to stop by whenever!

What types of massage do you offer?
We offer chronic complication pain therapy, prenatal, sports, Swedish, trigger point, reflexology and oncology massage. However, massage therapy sessions are typically customized to address your unique issues. View full list of massage services here.
What are the benefits of massage?
In addition to a deeply relaxing experience, massage therapy is used for pain relief, destressing, better range of motion, lower blood pressure and plenty more.
What can I expect?
We prefer to conduct a brief evaluation before the massage. This allows us to fully customize your session to fulfill your needs. We often add aromatherapy and combine a few different types of massage, at no extra charge.
